Hari Kelahiran (Paweton) Ida Ratu Bagus

The Paweton Ida Ratu Bagus ceremony by performing Homa Yajnya at the Muncan Ashram.

On Saturday afternoon, October 18, 2025, the air was cool. That day was the birthday of Maha Sad Guru Ratu Bagus according to the Balinese calendar. One by one, the children of the Ashram began to arrive to participate in the Homa ceremony to commemorate his birth. Some students began to prepare the ceremony equipment and decorate the kunda, the place where the Homa Yajna was to be performed.

Jero Lanang then arrived at the venue, and every time he was present, it was always accompanied by a light rain, like a mystical phenomenon. Jero Lanang sat near the kunda while waiting for the other students to arrive and enjoy the chanting of sacred songs. As soon as the ceremony was about to begin, it started to rain heavily. However, Jero Lanang did not budge, remaining seated with the other students. Everyone was soaked to the skin and enjoyed the rain until the ceremony was over. This was a blessing, and he implied that in the future his students must be resilient, strong, and become pioneers for the people. The challenges ahead are very clear, and we will prepare ourselves to face them.

Then, after the Homa, everyone shook together. All the students in Bali and several Western students were very enthusiastic and felt extraordinary energy in the pouring rain. They laughed happily, their bodies vibrating, reflecting the greatness of the energy they received. After that, Jero Lanang gave an encouraging speech, saying that this rain was not ordinary rain and that he had been waiting for it since the beginning.

He also reminded students to be sensitive to nature and to awaken their awareness of the universe so that they would understand their duties and responsibilities as students to help the universe work, thereby doing things not because they were told to, but out of a sincere awareness. All students were required to attend that day because it was not just a celebration like a typical birthday, but rather a form of unity between teachers and students, a manifestation of the relationship of giving and receiving, and self-awareness.

This is the birthday of all of us, not just the birthday of Queen Bagus. This is a moment for everyone to receive the blessings of the universe. This is one way to remind his students to always remember their unity. The union of teacher and students as one feeling, one soul, namely ME. These are some of the important messages conveyed by Jero Lanang.

Quoting the sacred song sung at that time as a message to the disciples.

Uduh nanak bagus sayang cening
Pireng ikang bawos
Tulus lan lascarya pikayune
Sampunang merasa dewek ririh
Ulengang ring hati
Sinah trepti pangguh

Meaning:
My dear children, whom I love dearly, you are the embodiment of goodness.
Listen to my message:
Sincerity and honesty should always be within you.
Do not consider yourselves knowledgeable in spiritual matters.
Always focus on your hearts,
and you will surely find peace.

Dasar anggen nunas ne sujati
Puyung raga lakon
Guru rasa bangkit panguripe
Kukuh pageh Tri Rnam taurin
Ne dumun lan mangkin
Ne rauh katuju

Meaning:
The basis for seeking the truth
Empty yourself
Feeling is the teacher within you, so awaken it
Be unwavering and strong in living your karma as a debt that must be paid
Because the connection between past, present, and future lives
Is to become the goal and always be connected to free your karma

Unlimited love and affection.

Thank you, Ratu Bagus, Jero Lanang.
